FAQ

Does any edition include gameplay advantages?
No. The paid extras are the soundtrack, the digital comic, and physical items — every edition plays the same game with the same content.
If I bought Standard, can I upgrade to Eclipse later?
On Steam, yes — the Eclipse Edition content is sold separately as an add-on for $14.99, so Standard owners can upgrade without rebuying the game.
Can I buy the soundtrack without the Eclipse content?
No. Since September 29, 2026 the soundtrack sits as a standalone Steam Library item (MP3 and WAV) for Eclipse Edition owners, but it is not sold separately — Standard players get it only as part of the Eclipse content add-on.
Is the Collector's Edition still available?
It was produced as a limited retail edition. Availability varies by region and retailer — check local listings if you want the physical extras.

Three tiers shipped when The Blood of Dawnwalker launched on September 3, 2026, and the differences between them are entirely about extras — music, art, and physical collectibles — not gameplay. This page compares exactly what each edition contains so you can decide whether the upgrades are worth it for you.

What Is in the Standard Edition?

The Standard Edition is the game and nothing else. It costs $69.99 on Steam and launched simultaneously on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S — the full platform list, including the console 60 FPS patch story, is covered in release date, platforms and editions. Everything gameplay-related — the 30-day clock, both of Coen’s forms, the whole Vale Sangora — is in this tier.

What Is in the Eclipse Edition?

The Eclipse Edition bundles two digital extras with the game:

  1. The soundtrack. The score is a genuine selling point on its own — the composer team includes Piotr Musiał, known for The Witcher 3 and Baldur’s Gate 3, alongside Nikola Kołodziejczyk, Mikolai Stroinski, and further contributing composers.
  2. A digital comic book. A companion comic delivered digitally alongside the game.

On Steam, existing Standard owners can buy the Eclipse content later as a standalone add-on priced at $14.99 — you are never locked out of the extras by buying Standard first.

How Do You Actually Get the Soundtrack?

As of the official announcement on September 29, 2026, the soundtrack is no longer just a bundle line item — it now sits in every Eclipse Edition owner’s Steam Library as a standalone entry, under the “Soundtracks” sub-folder. Both MP3 and WAV versions are included, and you can play the tracks directly in Steam or from your local files. What you cannot do is buy the music on its own: the soundtrack is exclusive to Eclipse Edition content owners, so Standard players only receive it as part of the $14.99 add-on. If you would rather listen away from Steam, Rebel Wolves says the score reaches streaming platforms — Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, and YouTube Music — via the studio’s official accounts about a week later, in early October 2026.

What Is in the Collector’s Edition?

The limited Collector’s Edition is the physical tier. It contains:

  • All Eclipse Edition extras in physical form
  • A world map of the game — the Vale Sangora on paper
  • A decorative figure

It was produced in limited quantities through retail channels, so stock depends on region and retailer. Nothing in it touches gameplay either.

Is There Any Region-Specific Version Weirdness?

One quirk worth knowing: the publisher has produced two PC builds targeting different age ratings for different regions, because the game carries varying ratings around the world. In practice this is handled by storefronts and regions automatically — but it explains why age-rating labels on PC copies may differ between regions. The game’s mature content descriptors (violence, gore, some nudity) fit its dark-fantasy premise; the plague backstory gives a taste of the tone.

Which Edition Should You Buy?

If you want the game, buy Standard — that is the entire experience, and our beginner guide covers everything that matters on day one. Add the Eclipse content if the soundtrack appeals to you. The Collector’s Edition is for collectors — the figure and map are display pieces, not gameplay. Before purchasing on PC, double-check your hardware against the PC system requirements.
