FAQ

What enemies are in The Blood of Dawnwalker?
Four documented families: the vampire court's ranks (the three boyars, their Blood Guard, Vrakhiri Bannerets), wildlife and monsters (ravenous bears, wolves, Tatzelwurms, the night-dwelling Murohn), spectral and undead hordes at ritual sites and haunted locations, and human opposition — court soldiers, bandits, and the camps they hold.
What are the Murohn in The Blood of Dawnwalker?
Night-dwelling creatures whose dens produce vials of Vrakhir blood when cleared, per PC Gamer — consumables that work like manuals for the boyars' abilities. A Murohn also serves as the boss of the Bad Blood quest in St. Tyna's Grove.
What are Tatzelwurms in The Blood of Dawnwalker?
Lizard-like beasts — four of them guard the cave east of the Muddy Trail shrine in Briar Sloughs, and clearing them nets the Moult of a Large Lizard, one of the Arbiter armor components, per PC Gamer's walkthrough.
What are the Blood Guard in The Blood of Dawnwalker?
Xanthe's garrison for the final castle assault — spare her in The Cycle of Love and you never fight Blood Guard enemies at Griefberg; kill her and they hold the castle, per PC Gamer's choice guide.
Is there a bestiary in the game?
No in-game bestiary has been documented by any source we track. This page is the wiki-side substitute: every enemy type with at least one verified source line, growing as coverage lands. No stats are listed where no source provides them.

The valley’s threat list is longer than its quest list, and until the game grows an in-game bestiary — no source documents one — this page is the stand-in. It collects every enemy type our verified sources actually name, sorted into four families, each entry pointing at the page where that enemy is fought in detail. Where sources give no numbers, we list none.

Who Are the Vampire Court’s Ranks?

The throne and its teeth. The court fields the valley’s scariest roster:

  • The three boyars — Ambrus, Bakir, and Xanthe, the boss-tier vampire court members. Angering them through sabotage work triggers their challenges, and defeating (then optionally draining) each one grants a Vrakhir ability.
  • Blood Guard — Xanthe’s contribution to the Griefberg assault; whether you fight any at all is a choice, not a difficulty setting.
  • Vrakhiri Banneret — the miniboss (with a soldier escort) immediately before the prologue’s Vlad conversation; the fight that decides whether you have the health to save him.
  • Court soldiers — the transports, collectors, dungeons, and cellars of Ambrus’s operation, a dozen-plus strong on the quest list.

What Wildlife and Monsters Roam the Valley?

The blood-carrying food chain. Beast-family enemies, every one documented in a walkthrough:

  • Ravenous bear — the Into the Den target east of the Northern Foothill whose death unlocks the Silver Trader, and a second one guards the Arbiter set’s final forging ritual.
  • Wolves — pack enemies in the same forging ritual’s fight list.
  • Tatzelwurms — four guard the Moult cave in Briar Sloughs; the Arbiter chain needs what they drop.
  • Murohn — night denizens; clearing their dens at night yields vials of Vrakhir blood, and one of them is the Bad Blood quest’s boss.
  • Kobolds — the cave residents of Hive and Seek; what you decide to do with them does not touch Lacra’s romance, per PC Gamer.

Every animal and monster in this family also feeds the Corruption meter — beast blood counts exactly as much as human blood.

What Are the Spectral and Undead?

The supernatural counter-list. The fights that reward anti-supernatural gear:

  • Spectral and undead hordes — the sealed-arena population of all thirteen Ancient Circles.
  • Ghosts — Xanthe’s posthumous nightmare labyrinth if she dies, and the respawning supernatural garrison PowerPyx documents inside the Howling Keep of The Cycle of Love.
  • Haunted-site residents — the River Massacre and Site of Crucifixion sites on the skill manuals route document their own fights.

Who Are the Human Opposition?

The roads’ landlords. Bandit Camps and Soldier Camps dot the map — the fixed chest locations on the manual route are theirs — and the wandering soldiers near the prologue’s end carry the Vial of Human Blood drops that make the Vlad rescue survivable. The court’s human soldiers double as sabotage-mission targets whose blood barrels raise Corruption fastest.

  • Svetlana, The Dark Prodigy, and Aurelius — the twin boss fight at the top of The Silts tower during Home Sweet Home; the Arbiter chain’s flask sits in Aurelius’s study afterward, per PC Gamer’s walkthrough.

What Is Missing From This List?

Whatever the sources have not named yet. No documented source provides per-enemy stats, weaknesses, or a complete spawn table — those cells stay empty rather than invented. The list grows as walkthroughs land: new enemy types documented in verified coverage get added here, and the boss-tier entries live where they belong, on the bosses pages.
